Roger Moore during one of his final scenes as Bond while some crazy guitar riffing occurs in the background. This was the final movie with Moore as Bond. This time a guy named Zorin plans to flood Silicon Valley with an explosion and Bond has to stop him. In typical 1980s style most of theContinue reading “View to a Kill (1985)”

Terminator (1984)
The first but far from the last movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger for me to do with this blog. Terminator was the first in the science fiction series about robots that take over the world in the future. In order to stop the machines a guy time travels into the past to make sure that aContinue reading “Terminator (1984)”
Eye for an Eye (1981)
Chuck Norris doesn’t punch people in the face. People’s faces are magnetically drawn to the fists of Chuck Norris. Chuck Norris stars in this movie about a guy who gets set up a long with his partner and sets out for revenge when his partner is killed. Along the way he teams up with anContinue reading “Eye for an Eye (1981)”
Octopussy (1983)
This guy was cookoo for Coco Puffs. This was the next movie in the James Bond series about Bond finding out why a guy named Kamal in India was willing to have a couple of his guys with knives kill an agent for MI6 just so he can have a golden egg that was beingContinue reading “Octopussy (1983)”
For Your Eyes Only (1981)
Crossbows are tacky and redneck, but it’s nice to see a fellow archer. James Bond enters the 1980s in a pretty interesting combination of cultures when a ship is sunk belonging to the British and a macguffin they were carrying on board is stolen by some people who want to sell it to the Russians.Continue reading “For Your Eyes Only (1981)”
Munster, Go Home (1966)
Tacky stuff, but what is not to love about this? I was surprised to realize when I watched this movie again that it was actually pretty good. In technicolor, which might have been a mistake because we can clearly see that the Munsters are even less good looking with their blueish green color, something theyContinue reading “Munster, Go Home (1966)”
The Car (1977)
This car will take on all challengers. This movie is about a car in the desert that kills several people before the police manage to have it blown up. This movie has a lot of good action and special effects. You think that the car has been defeated, but it keeps coming back for more.Continue reading “The Car (1977)”
Return of the King (1980)
What a goof… This is the third of the animated Lord of the Rings trilogy of movies. It has a lot of sword and sorcery camp in it and some great gothic imagery particularly of the dark fortresses and battles such as Pelennor Fields. People have some issues with this movie such as the largeContinue reading “Return of the King (1980)”
Moon raker (1979)
Jaws becomes disconcerted before crashing his lift into a building. Moon raker was another movie in the James Bond series. This time the spy goes to outer space, which is pretty ridiculous, but it’s the first two thirds of this movie that I like the most anyway. The beginning of this movie isn’t too bad.Continue reading “Moon raker (1979)”
China Syndrome (1979)
This was a thriller movie about a couple of reporters who go to a power plant and do some journalism for a news story when an accident occurs at the power plant. The reporters later discover that the accident could have possibly caused the China Syndrome, which is basically an explosion that could wipe outContinue reading “China Syndrome (1979)”
