Bringing Up Baby (1937)

We get one of the goofiest movies I have ever seen with this one about a woman played by Katherine Hepburn who gets a leopard and somehow makes it somebody else’s problem, Cary Grant. They go through a lot of goofy situations together while trying to get their leopard back when it escapes and we meet some interesting characters along the way such as a guy with a drinking problem, a quirky hunter and a bombastic sheriff who keeps throwing people into prison. This movie showed up during the depression and it’s easy to see that this movie was aimed at the people hit hardest by the times. Not only does it provide a laugh about every minute, it also brings down everybody from the scientist working on a brontosaurus to the brontosaurus itself.
