Charge of Light Brigade (1936)

Charge of the Light Brigade is a pretty good action movie. It might have the best action scene from the 1930s. The entire movie is a build up to a charge scene done by some cavalry into enemy fire. We also get a pretty good cast featuring the iconic swashbuckler Errol Flynn and the actor who played Dr. Watson from the popular Sherlock Holmes series Nigel Bruce.

All around I would say this was a pretty good movie. There is a little bit of infamy associated with this movie, though, since the ending had at least one horse get killed when it fell over and I’m pretty sure this movie was partly responsible for people starting a rights group for animals in movies. Never again would people have animals doing quite this much stuff in a movie.
