Lon Chaney Jr. stars in this Inner Sanctum sequel movie that was made the same year as Weird Woman and was also a drastic improvement. For one thing, it was much more interesting. The story is actually kind of good. It still goes into romantic melodrama with the subplot, but the main plot is a pretty good murder mystery. I suppose Chaney comes across as more annoying than usual but we can certainly give him a break for being blind, which I think is a pretty tough thing to deal with. Other than the mystery there isn’t much to say except that this might be one of the better ones in this somewhat average movie series.
