Happy new year, everybody. This movie also has the new year theme going on since the first murder of the movie takes place right during the beginning of the new year. Both the thin man and his wife go to a night club where we get some great songs from the woman who was also in some Blondie movies and it is quite the celebration. However, on a street outside of the wealthy home of a woman in a relationship with the wrong kind of guy, the wrong guy is shot and once again our favorite married detectives have to find out who the murderer is. Instead of Nat Pendleton we get a different police officer this time to accompany them, but he is just as enjoyable not to mention good appearances from both a young Jimmy Stewart and horror movie regular, George Zucco.
